MMA Gears: Tips For Cleaning Your MMA Gear

Psst! Tell me something, are you facing a lot of embarrassing moments even after a glorious victory at a MMA tournament, simply due to the stench of perspiration emanating from your MMA gear ? Are your shin, arm, and head guards all stinking REAL bad? In addition, the saddest part to the story perhaps is that you are not aware of the methods to keep them clean and fresh! Below listed are a few things you can do to get rid of the smell after training your training sessions and keep them fresh all through!

Rinse off or clean your MMA gear once you get home before long after a training session or a combat utilizing baby wipes. They work great and are genuinely effective.

Perhaps you could be expending the crap out of your gear. Advantageously you could launder your compression boxer shorts in the washing machine. In case you use that fanny floss athletic supporter straps then you had better check into compression shorts to hold your cup because fanny floss is er…well… a little… ludicrous. As far as your embouchure/mouth guard is related, you may keep it put in a clean container in your refrigerator and launder it off with hydrogen peroxide prior to each usage. If you apply tape then that’s throwaway, but whenever you use 100 ft. hand wrappers then you’ll have to wash those too. Automatic washer acts upon very well for these laundering duties! Your board boxers and/or fight trunks washer in addition to your grapple gloves will cost a bit different game though. You had better care for them like bowling shoes although it may sound a trifle strange! You should spray them subsequently every three or four usages with “Fabreeze”. Users have ascertained that “Fabreeze” acts upon most adept upon grapple gloves (simply spray into the interiors open palm area and nowhere else). Don’t spray them from a forthright range though, hold the pump bottle back aside from your gloves more or less like say 8 to 12 inches approximately, and spray each one about four or five effective sprayings. Leave them set out with the exposed palm face upward and let them dry without heating or a fan, simply permit them dry out easy nightlong.

As For your shin and arm pads, well… Merely spray the “fabreeze” on the interiors of the pads only, avoiding the leather/vinyl whatsoever it is that you use and allow them aerate dry. With these tips, I hope you’ll be able to avoid the embarrassing stench of unclean MMA gear!

For more tips, head to a search engine like Yahoo.com and type in “MMA gear cleaning” and read other helpful articles. Print the articles out and place them in a three-ring binder to keep handy or a notebook folder. Then when your MMA friends need tips for their children, you’ll have a bunch on hand, too. Plus if you volunteer to help during events, they may come in handy as well.

What's the best thing to do when you can't spend all day with your dog?
I have a puggle. She is so cute and very loveable but she is a pain in the but!! When she has to go to the bathroom, there is no such thing as "sniff". It’s "Hey let’s make my mom clean up my mess." She gets into everything from garbage, sports gear, and even, clothes! She is very stubborn and at times I feel like screaming at her. I am an animal lover and hate to yell, but I am strict. She just doesn’t get it. I am almost forced to give her up because I have no other option. I love her to death but am getting sick of her bad attitude. She can be so nice and cuddly at night, but she just turns into a totally different dog. I need some tips FAST in order to keep my puppy. I love her so much and can’t stand the feeling of living without her. Somebody please help me and my puppy!

If you can’t take it and if you DO give her up, buy a DS and the game Nintendogs. :)

if tou can’t crate her during the day, maybe try a chew toy called "kong". you can put a treat inside, and they spend hours trying to get the treat. it is a good distraction.

well first off you should train her basic commands sit, stay, lie down. then either take a training class with her when you have time or go to the library or bookstore and read about training your dog.

You know what.. You should find her a really good home. Animals, and especially dogs, need tolerance, patience, consistency and they need someone that they can respect. You aren’t any of those things. You are the type of person who should have a stuffed animal. No care, no work in training and you don’t have to go out of your way at all for them.. Maybe have to dust them now and then, but no real responsibilty on your part at all..

She owns you. Learn how to be alpha yourself. Don’t feed her till she sits. If she greets you by jumping on you ignore her. Don’t let her in your lap unless you tell her to be there. Crate train her.

Perhaps you could try to crate train her or confine her to one room or one small area while you are away from home. This is NOT cruel. Not only will it help keep your home in order; but, it will ensure her safety. You will not have to worry about her knocking things over or getting into things that could harm her. Be patient with her, yet, be firm. Good luck ;)

you have a mixed breed dog that was bred by an inferior pug and a inferior beagle ( i presume) these dogs were evidently poorly bred and no attention was given to temperament/trainability when their parents were bred…. you are now suffering the consequences of these PUPPYMILLERS who probably charged you for this dog as well……. geesh i feel bad for you, the dog etc.

i know this sounds cruel but how about a crate? not to keep her locked up all day just to put her in when she is bad? so she can tell when she is being bad and also give her a time out. She is a puppy so she will most likely grow out of all this tantrum throwing and bityness. I also suggest puppy training pads to help house brake her? Also awww a puggle! there too cute!!

Does your dog have enough toys? She should have plenty of her own things to keep busy with.

Going with your dog to obedience classes will help wonders. and as someone mentioned, while you are gone during the day a lot of pet stores have day care.

As strict as you might think you are though, she is not seeing you as a dominant individual. Work on being dominate, get obedience classes, keep lots of toys handy for doggy, and maybe things will simmer down.

When my puppy used to act up, I would immediately put her in the bathroom and leave her there until she calms down. You might want to try that also.

No dog is a lost cause, just remember that.

She just needs exercise. When you are away keep her in a kennel or in a small secure area. If you are gone to long durring the day for it to be healthy to leave her in the kennel then you will need to hire a dog walker. The dog walker will come take your dog for a walk, make sure she gets some water and something to eat and give her some exercise then put her back. When you get home you will have to let her out and take her out and let her run around and probably take her for a walk. The kennel ensures she is safe and out of trouble, so she won’t make a mess. But she will go crazy if she doesn’t get exercise. If you don’t have the time and money to do the right thing by your dog then find her a good home that is a better fit so she can be happy.

I have a puppy aswell and yes he gets into everything. I was told that when your puppy does his/her buisness inside you should get very angry and growl at him/her. My puppy is nearly 4 months I think and he still ocassionally does his wee’s and poo’s inside, especially if it’s raining outside.
Maybe you should restrict your dog to one place so he doesnt gte into closets etc. My house is a split level and my family our just about to get a little gate so my puppy can stay downstairs and not get upstairs and chew on wires. That may help.
When a dog reaches 1 year she/he starts to calm down alot and wont be as mishcevious and cheeky. When he gets into clothes he might be bored so if you dont have any, get some toys.
Well yeah thats all I can think of.
    Cheers

well i feel you i have two puppys, and they are a pain. the best thing i can tell you is crate train them. if your not home put her in there, and when you go to bed put her in there. i am assuming than when you are home you will have an eye on her. if not kennel her. it’’s not being mean or anything, it’s just like their room. make sure they can stand up and turn around comfortablely and thats the size you need. puggles are small so you shouldn’t have a problem. As for the getting in to everything, well baby safe your house. gate off rooms with a baby gate you don’t want her in like the kitchen, invest in a trash can with a lid. as for your clothes put the hamper up high like on a dresser or get one with a lid. i prefeer not to let my 3 dogs in my room period, but thats me. my doggs have a fetish for eatting really expensive underware. it really sucks:) BUt anyways with a puppy you just have to find anything she could possible get to and put it out of her reach. what will help her too is a basket of toys in one spot. things like a ton of tennis ball and squeeky things you can get great deals on toys at the dollar store. my dogs go through these like water so i am always buying more. and rawhides they will keep an active puppys attention for a while and keeping her from chewing on forbidden items. also puppy kindergarden att pet co. couldn’t hurt either. give her time puppys are alot of work good luck:)

I recramend the disciplines of pet training with animal behaviorism, so you’re able to first understand why your pet behaves a certain way, and then how you can take that information and effectively and humanely train your dog. So I would go to your local Pet Smart.

Make sure the time you do spend with her allows her some outside time and lots exercise, at least 20-30 minutes two times a day in addition to bathroom stuff (this will help with her excess energy) and think about getting her a crate for when your not at home. It’ll keep her out of trouble and teach her to be calm when she’s by herself.

Doesn’t sound like she has done anything very bad except getting into things (garbage, sports gear and clothes?) and making a mess. Some people might even think it’s cute for puppies to explore and get tangled up in clothing. I don’t suppose you have children? Two year old kids really make a mess, and you can’t even give them up! For now, forget about how you can’t stand the feeling of living without her. You’ll get over it. She needs to move to a better home while still young, cute, and easily adoptable. If you love her, let her go.

i have a puppy who is 4 months and to start with they can be very trying though apart from digging holes in the garden he has been relatively good. I find that not shouting but gently but firmly take the puppys head and face yours speak in a calm but firm low voice and tell them bad – just say the key word so they know not to, if he repeats it i do the same again and tap him on the nose. This takes patience and a few weeks once wont work. After a while they start to do learn bad means no. If you use the word no it can be confusing as us humans use the word no a lot about different things around the house. I dont like fighting with him as he is too cute. But now when i tell him he’s bad he starts doing tricks for me trying look cute and innocent. But if you stay firm and repetitive it will work. If i want to do housework i take him for a long walk in the beach and then he just wants to sleep giving me peace. Though when he is sleeping he tends to be in the same room as me otherwise he’ll come looking.

Sorry for going on but also doing tricks. They love this and it is almost like play time for them so it stimulates the mind and use food as a reward they soon get to know right from wrong.

    Good Luck

Leave a radio on for her to hear. it will sound like someone is in the house, to her. Leave her some treats in different places in the house, but not hid from her. I heard that some sort of noise like the radio, or tv keeps pets from getting lonely while the owners work.

First off, never leave your dog unattended, unless it is in a crate. And when it is out of the crate, use a leash. If you give them the opportunity to do bad things, they will. You must teach her the first three basic commands….sit, stay, and come. Once she has mastered these (using a leash), give her a little more room for Independence. That means try taking the leash off and using your commands. Have patience, dogs make mistakes just as humans do.

As for the potty training, using a crate is also a good way to train. When you let her out, take her outside (on a leash), then it’s play time. After playtime make her sit for her food. Feed her, and then it’s outside again. Do not come in the house until she’s done her duty!

Praise and treats for good behavior, and ignore bad behavior. Disciplining by yelling and hitting only creates an aggressive or timid dog. Voice training is okay, but you must catch them in the act and make your voice ‘growl’ when you are correcting what they’ve done. I hope I’ve helped….give it a shot! You may be happy with the result! I have a Puggle myself, and a Muggin. I trained both of them this way.

Ah, yes, there have been a lot of complaints that the mutts called "Puggles" are hyper-active, among other things. Those individuals who are producing mutts and dubbing them with "Designer dog" names are motivated solely by greed and are not only perpetrating an unscrupulous scam on the public, but doing harm to the very dogs they breed. They do NO health screenings or genetic testing at all. They do not even breed to a standard, (because there is none). In the case, for example, of the "Puggle", they are risking the very lives of the dogs they produce by virtue of the breeds they are crossing (pug + beagle). A brachycephalic dog, (such as a pug) with the lung power and prey drive of a beagle would be in serious danger or dropping dead while playing on a hot day. Those "breeders" are very adamant in perpetuating the lie that "mutts are healthier", yet these puggles are already exhibiting epilepsy (a disease that has virtually been eradicated in the lines of responsible beagle breeders), before the age of one and a defect where the bones break very easily and do not properly heal. They don’t guarantee to take back their dogs, so these sick animals are now growing in numbers in shelters. By the way, they charge more for a "puggle", (anywhere from $1200-$2,000.00) than a beagle pup from a responsible breeder would cost.
